Puerto Rico has no vote in the United States Congress and no electoral vote for president; therefore the United States has control over Puerto Rico without us being able to fight for fundamental human rights. The flag over the eyes represents the Puerto Rican identity (a play on words) and the hand over the mouth represent the silencing of the Puerto Rican voice.

I am a Puerto Rican artist, studying Art Education at UNG Dahlonega. I hope to instill a love of multicultural art in my students!
