Statement
Inspiration for this artwork is the famous Mexican singer-songwriter, Vicente Fernandez. He became known as the king of mariachi, hence the name of the artwork "El Rey," which translates to “The King”. With his recent passing in 2021, many mourned and reminisced such beautiful music that he left behind, and that'll continue to be shared down to many generations of Hispanics/Latinos.
