Statement
I was born in Mexico City and visited relatives when I was younger, but I grew up in the United States. Living in one country with my ancestral past residing in another has been difficult, and travel has been restricted in recent years. Yet, I refuse to remain on the periphery. This piece is my battlecry: through art and my parents' stories, I have grown closer to this beautiful culture while being physically apart.
